About our guest speaker
David Blevins, BPS, NREMT-P
David Blevins has spoken nationally in the fields of EMS and EMS Funding. The experience that allows him to speak on these topics comes from over a decade of looking at these issues through the eyes of a firefighter, EMT, and Paramedic, and his current position as the Paramedic Program Director at Roane State Community College. He has also served as an instructor for Roane State Community College, the Knoxville Fire Department, and the Air National Guard. His experience on both the civilian and military sides allows him a unique insight into the difficulties that EMS professionals, and their directors and educators, face on a daily basis. His professional passion is the delivery of excellent patient care and is supporting that passion by striving to provide excellent Emergency Medical education and helping others to provide the same. His goal is to ensure that future clinicians are able to go out in the field and treat your family and friends with expertise and compassion. David also serves on the Board of Directors with the Tennessee EMS Education Association and as the Research Committee Chair with the National Association of EMS Educators.
